1994) an IRA-CBC Children's Choice Award winner; "Jacob and the
Stranger" (Ticknor and Fields, 1994) winner of the 1996 Rhode Island
Children's Book Award and the Anne Izard Storyteller's Choice award; "The
Mouse Who Owned the Sun" (Four Winds, 1993)."Taiko on a Windy
Night,"(Henry Holt, 2001) and "Hannah's Bookmobile Christmas,"
(Henry Holt, 2001) picked by Smithsonian Magazine as one of the best picture
